Terranimo – A simulation model for preventing soil compaction in agriculture
Terranimo is a free online tool that can be used to calculate the risk of soil compaction caused and e.g. the ground pressure by agricultural engines. The website compares the stress placed on the soil by the engines with the soil’s strength, taking into account factors such as tyre pressure, wheel load, soil moisture and clay content. The aim is to help farmers choose suitable operating conditions in order to prevent soil damage and promote sustainable agriculture.
