Accessibility Statements

The University of Greifswald endeavours to design all its web pages in accordance with Section 13 of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Disability Equality Act (LBGG MV) so that they can, in principle, be used without restriction by people with impairments and disabilities, as set out in the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (BITVO MV).

This accessibility statement applies to all web pages on the www.paludiscout.de domain that are hosted on the University of Greifswald’s alternative web server and built using the WordPress content management system.

Status of compliance with the requirements

The University of Greifswald’s website, including its mobile views, largely complies with the requirements of Section 13 of the LBGG MV.

Content that is not accessible includes:

• Not all documents are available in an accessible format.
• Not all images, graphics, maps and audiovisual content have alternative text.
• No information is provided in English Sign Language or Plain Language.

Reasons for the defects

The website is complex and exceptionally extensive. It is created and maintained with limited resources. Furthermore, user profiles and images for the catalogue are uploaded by the users themselves. As a result, editorial oversights relating to accessibility cannot be entirely avoided.
