KTBL

Services: Consultancy

The German Agricultural Engineering and Construction Board (KTBL) is a nationwide specialized institution operating at the intersection of agriculture, science, and practice. It develops scientifically sound and practice-oriented planning data for agricultural production processes, thereby supporting, in particular, economic evaluation and farm planning. This includes, among other things, standard contribution margins, process costs, labor and machinery data, as well as rule-of-thumb figures that serve as a basis for farm decisions, consulting, research, and policy. For several years now, the KTBL has also been expanding its database to include processes and technologies on rewet bogs (paludiculture).

Services

  • The KTBL offers consulting services on the selection, adaptation, and use of appropriate technology for wetland management. These services are based on relevant expertise regarding the specific requirements of wet and rewet bog sites. Key areas of focus include soil pressure, load-bearing capacity, and turf stability, as well as the selection of appropriate machinery and tires, and the necessary technical adjustments to ensure that machinery is used in a way that is as gentle on the soil as possible, practical, and efficient.
