Steuerungstechnik StG develops innovative electronic and control solutions for agricultural machinery, with a particular focus on automatic tire pressure control. The tire pressure control systems supplied by STG allow the tire contact patch to be increased depending on the application
and reduce ground pressure. With the MultiControl system, STG combines automatic tire pressure control with modern sensor technology and digital data acquisition. Among other things, wheel loads and actual track depths in the field are recorded to create a passability map of the areas. This data is used for future passes and automatically adjusted based on new measurements. Precipitation, temperature, and crop data can also be factored into the assessment of drivability, allowing the map to adapt to the respective environmental and soil conditions.
In addition, Steuerungstechnik STG manufactures systems specifically tailored to customer requirements and also offers customized special solutions. In this way, the company combines precise tire pressure control, intelligent sensor technology, digital drivability data, and customized technical solutions for soil-conserving and efficient land management, particularly on sensitive peatland and grassland areas.

The tire pressure control system is a custom-tailored retrofit solution consisting of modular kit components. Compressed air lines, electrically controlled valves, and a control terminal such as MultiControl adjust the tire pressure as needed. Many components can be installed directly by dealers or by the agricultural operations themselves. This increases the contact patch, reduces ground pressure, and allows for more soil-conserving operation, particularly on peatlands and grasslands. On the road, the adjusted tire pressure ensures driving stability and lower rolling resistance. Even off-road, the optimal pressure setting can reduce fuel consumption, thereby also lowering CO₂ emissions.
Additionally, wheel load and tread depth sensors, as well as a drivability map, can be integrated. Additional components such as auxiliary compressors, tube spacers for dual tires, and customer-specific solutions allow for customization to the machine and its intended application.
