We process personal data that is collected when our website is visited in accordance with the valid data protection laws and regulations, in particular the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Landesdatenschutzgesetz – DSG M-V (State Data Protection Act).

This service provider is a recipient of personal data and acts as a data processor on our behalf.
Legal basis
Where we process personal data on the basis of your consent (e.g. responding to enquiries by email, user accounts, login), Article 6(1) lit. a of the GDPR shall serve as the legal basis.
Log files
The following data is stored in log files every time a visitor accesses our website for reasons related to data security and for statistical purposes:
- IP address,
- Time website was accessed,
- User agent (browser and operation system),
- Visited pages or content, and
- Referrer URL, if provided (page visited previously).
The purpose of logging is to recognise, limit and eliminate malfunctions and to detect misuse in accordance with § 12(1) and (4) TDDDG. The IP addresses will not be merged with other data sets. The data will be stored for a maximum of seven days, after which they will be stored in anonymous form for website statistics. Our website uses the open-source software AWStats for website statistics. No personal data is stored.
Cookies
When visiting our website, so-called ‘session cookies’ will be sent to and stored on your device. The legal basis for this is stipulated in § 25(2) TDDDG. Cookies are small text files that are used to make the internet more user-friendly, efficient and secure. They do not damage your computer and contain no viruses. Session cookies are usually deleted automatically after you have left our website. You can deactivate the storage of cookies by changing the corresponding settings in your browser. Please note that deactivation can mean that you will not be able to use all of the functions of our website to their full extent.
As a supplier, when you log in to your personal area, the CMS sets technically necessary cookies that are required for running the authentication system. These cookies are set exclusively for registered and logged-in users; general website visitors are not affected.

- wordpress_sec_[hash] — Saves the authentication details for the secure supplier area.
Storage period: for the duration of the session or until users log out.
- wordpress_logged_in_[hash] — Displays the logged-in status and controls the appearance of the user interface.
Storage period: for the duration of the session or up to 14 days if the “Stay logged in” option is enabled.
- wordpress_test_cookie — Verifies whether cookies are enabled in the browser during the login process.
Storage period: deleted immediately after verification.
Enquiries by email
By contacting us via email, you consent to the processing of your personal data. The personal data and content you send to us via email will be stored solely for the purpose of responding to your enquiry and will be deleted at the latest once the matter has been resolved. Your data will not be passed on to third parties.
Registration
Providers of paludiculture technology and services can register as suppliers using the registration form on this website. The following personal data is processed as part of the registration process:
- Company name (display name),
- email address
Your data will be used exclusively for the purposes of our project. It will not be used for any other purposes. You can delete your account at any time. Alternatively, all data will be deleted as soon as this website is taken offline.
Furthermore, registered suppliers can create and update their own company and device profiles within their account using password-protected forms. In doing so, the following data is processed and stored in the website’s database:

Company and device profiles are displayed publicly on the platform once they have been saved and approved by the editorial team. The provision of this data is voluntary on the part of the supplier.
Public contact details of suppliers
The following contact details are displayed publicly on the profile pages of companies listed on PaludiScout, provided the publisher has supplied them:
- Postal address
- Telephone number
- email address
- Website URL
This information has been provided by the respective suppliers themselves. By providing this information, the suppliers have consented to making it available to the general public.
To protect against automated scraping (spam protection), email addresses on this website are displayed in encrypted form within the HTML source code.
Photos and videos of people
Where photographs and/or videos are published on the website that make it possible to identify individuals, this is done only with the explicit consent of the person concerned. The images will be deleted immediately upon withdrawal of consent, or at the latest as soon as the website is taken offline.
Your rights
